What is sifRxHwFCSs?
This read-only Counter reports the number of received packets discarded on this port due to FCS, or frame check sequence, errors. An administrator treats a rising count as a classic physical-layer health indicator pointing to a bad cable, connector, or failing NIC. For example, the admin traces intermittent packet loss on a link to a steadily rising sifRxHwFCSs counter and replaces the patch cable.
