Description: Number of bytes to reserve in the DPC Buffer Memory for transmitting asynchronous packets.

What is sfddiTxAsync?

This read-write INTEGER sets how many bytes of the DPC buffer memory are reserved on the FDDI port for transmitting asynchronous traffic. Admins tune this to balance buffer allocation between synchronous and asynchronous FDDI traffic classes depending on the mix of applications on the ring. Increasing sfddiTxAsync would be appropriate if bursty, non-time-critical data transfers on that FDDI segment are being starved of transmit buffer space.
