Module: CTATX-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::sfddiOBSFuseBad
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.8.1.1.20
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: Whether the fuse to the FDDI port's optical bypass is bad.
What is sfddiOBSFuseBad?
This read-only INTEGER flag indicates whether the fuse protecting the FDDI port's optical bypass switch has blown. An admin monitors this to catch a hardware protection failure that would leave the optical bypass unable to function if needed during a station failure. Seeing sfddiOBSFuseBad report true(1) means the port's bypass safety mechanism needs physical hardware repair.
