This read-write INTEGER sets the value used for the standard fddiMACNotCopiedThreshold variable, which controls when the FDDI MAC reports frames it received but could not copy due to buffer unavailability. Admins tune this so that not-copied-frame alerts fire at a meaningful rate rather than for every isolated buffer miss. Raising sfddiNotCopiedThreshold on a heavily loaded FDDI station would reduce alert noise from occasional, non-critical buffer misses.
