An admin would raise or lower this to control sensitivity of frame-error-related SRF alerts on a noisy versus clean FDDI segment. Setting sfddiFrameErrorThreshold higher on a known-noisy long-haul FDDI link avoids nuisance alerts for error rates considered normal on that segment.
