rebootUseMod

Module: CTATX-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::rebootUseMod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.11.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Whether to use this module, not applicable for the Packet Processing Engine.

What is rebootUseMod?

This read-write enumerated INTEGER controls whether a module (other than the Packet Processing Engine, which is excluded) should be reset or allowed to run. An admin uses this to selectively take a module offline for maintenance without power-cycling the whole chassis. Setting rebootUseMod to reset(1) for a misbehaving IOM card forces just that module to restart while the rest of the chassis keeps running.
