rebootType

Module: CTATX-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTATX-MIB::rebootType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.3.11.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The desired module type of the slot.

What is rebootType?

This read-write enumerated INTEGER sets the desired module type for a chassis slot, choosing among options like packet-processing-engine, turbo, csma-iom, hssi-iom, and various IOM card types. An admin sets this to tell the device what kind of module should be expected or activated in that slot, relevant when swapping or provisioning hardware. Setting rebootType to fddi-iom(8) for a slot tells the device to expect and configure an FDDI I/O module installed there.
