This read-only OCTET STRING, a variable-length array with one element per port, gives 0 if a port has no repeater capability or otherwise the number of repeater ports present at that port. An admin uses this to know which ports on a module aggregate multiple repeater segments, such as multi-port Ethernet repeater modules. For example, a nonzero element for a given port shows that port aggregates several repeater-segment ports, useful when counting actual connected stations beyond a simple MIB-II interface count.
