What is hwNumber?
This read-only INTEGER, fixed at 7 on this chassis model, reports the number of slots available for hardware modules regardless of whether they are currently populated. An admin uses this as the fixed upper bound when enumerating the hardware table for this chassis. For example, knowing hwNumber is always 7 tells the admin to expect up to seven hwIndex rows, numbered 1 through 7, when walking the hardware table on this ES/1 chassis.
