What is hwFirstPort?
This read-only INTEGER, not applicable for the Turbo board, gives the MIB-II ifIndex number of the first port residing within a given module. An admin uses this to map a module's physical ports to their corresponding MIB-II interface indexes for further per-interface monitoring. For example, an hwFirstPort of 9 for a 4-port IOM tells the admin that module's ports occupy ifIndex 9 through 12.
