Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: Beginning source address.

What is filterSource?

This read-write OCTET STRING holds the beginning address of a source-address range used by a traffic filter. An admin configures this alongside filterSourceEnd to define a contiguous range of source MAC addresses the filter should match. Setting filterSource to a specific vendor's MAC OUI prefix lets an admin filter all traffic originating from that vendor's devices.
