This read-write Counter tracks the number of multicast packets received from a given address on a learning or forwarding port, and can be zeroed via a zero-stats addrOperation. An administrator uses it to isolate how much of a host's traffic is multicast when diagnosing a multicast storm traced back to a specific source. For example, the admin sees addrRxMultiPkts spike for one host's address entry and identifies it as the source of an unwanted multicast flood.
