This read-write enumerated INTEGER sets a user-definable severity level, from informational through critical, used when bulk-configuring trap severities by group. An administrator uses it together with kxtrapSeverityEnable to apply or reference a severity tier across multiple traps at once rather than setting each trap's severity individually. For example, an admin standardizing on major(4) as the cutoff for paging alerts would set this object to major(4) before enabling that severity tier switch-wide.
