kxtrapNumber

Module: CT-ELS100-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-ELS100-MIB::kxtrapNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.8.11.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The number of traps that are in the kxtrapTable.

What is kxtrapNumber?

This read-only INTEGER reports how many trap entries currently exist in the kxtrapTable. An administrator checks it to gauge the scope of trap types this switch is capable of generating, or to size how much of the table needs to be walked. For example, an admin building a custom monitoring script against this switch would use kxtrapNumber to know how many trap-definition rows to expect.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.8.11.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CT-ELS100-MIB::kxtrapNumber

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.97.8.11.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CT-ELS100-MIB::kxtrapNumber.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> kxtrapNumber.1
