This read-write INTEGER sets how many seconds the ELS-100 waits for an acknowledgment before retransmitting an unacknowledged TFTP data block during a configuration transfer, defaulting to 5 seconds. An admin transferring a configuration file across a slow or lossy network path might increase this value to avoid unnecessary retransmissions that could otherwise be triggered by normal network delay rather than actual packet loss. For example, over a high-latency WAN link, the admin might raise kxswdisConfigRetryTime above the default 5 seconds to prevent the TFTP transfer from retransmitting data blocks that were simply delayed rather than lost.
