Description: Defines the bridging method to be applied to frames received at, or destined for, this port. Ports may be configured for transparent or none. The UART may only be configured to none.
What is kxprotoBridge?
This read-write INTEGER selects the bridging method applied to frames on a port, either transparent bridging or none, with the UART interface restricted to none. An administrator uses it to control whether a given port actively participates in transparent bridging of Ethernet frames or is excluded from bridging altogether. For instance, setting kxprotoBridge to transparent(1) on an uplink port lets it forward frames normally, while the serial UART port must remain set to none(4).
