This read-write INTEGER sets the value assigned to the standard ipRouteMetric2 field whenever a route learned via RIP is added to the switch's IP routing table. An admin adjusts this to influence how RIP-learned routes are weighted relative to other routing information sources when the routing table has to choose among multiple paths. For example, an admin wanting RIP-learned routes to be treated as a low-priority fallback compared to statically configured routes would set kxadminRipPreference to a high, less preferred, metric value.
