cmmResetModemStats

Module: CT-CMMPHYS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-CMMPHYS-MIB::cmmResetModemStats

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.18.1.3.1.43

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object is used to reset the statistics pertaining to the selected modem. If written with the value 'true', the statistics will be reset. If written with the value 'false', no action will be taken. Its value will always be read as 'false'.

What is cmmResetModemStats?

This write-controlled object resets the accumulated statistics counters for a selected modem when written with the value true, while writing false performs no action, and the object always reads back as false regardless of prior writes. Admins use this to clear out historical counters, such as error and event counts, for a specific modem, typically after resolving an issue and wanting a clean baseline going forward. For example, after replacing a faulty telephone line associated with one modem, an admin would set cmmResetModemStats to true for that modem to zero out its counters before monitoring its performance on the repaired line.
