Description: A unique value for each interface. Its value ranges between 1 and the value of ifNumber. The value for each interface must remain constant at least from one re-initialization of the entity's network management system to the next re-initialization.
What is vlConfIndex?
This read-only integer uniquely identifies a VLAN within the VLAN configuration table, ranging between 1 and ifNumber and remaining constant across management-system reinitializations. An admin uses this index to correlate a specific VLAN's alias and status settings with the correct logical VLAN interface. For example, when auditing VLAN configurations across the device, the admin matches each row's vlConfIndex to the VLAN being reviewed.
