This read-write enumerated integer controls whether the router accepts a default route advertised by RIP messages received on this interface. An admin disables this on interfaces where they don't want an untrusted or unreliable RIP neighbor to be able to override the device's own default route. For example, disabling this on an interface facing a branch office prevents a misconfigured branch router from injecting a bogus default route into the core network.
