relayVlSeconderyServerAddr
Module: CROUTE-MIB
OID (symbolic): CROUTE-MIB::relayVlSeconderyServerAddr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.31.1.6.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-write
Description: The IP address of the secondary server, to which the BOOTP/DHCP requests to be sent.
What is relayVlSeconderyServerAddr?
This read-write IpAddress object sets a secondary server address that BOOTP/DHCP requests on this VLAN are also relayed to, providing redundancy alongside the primary server. An admin configures this so DHCP service continues if the primary server becomes unreachable. For example, if the primary DHCP server at head office goes offline, having relayVlSeconderyServerAddr configured means the branch VLAN's clients can still get addresses from the backup server.
