This read-write enumerated integer controls whether directly connected, locally attached, networks are redistributed into the OSPF routing domain. An admin enables this so that subnets attached to interfaces not explicitly running OSPF are still advertised to the rest of the OSPF network. For example, a management subnet attached to an interface that isn't running OSPF directly would still become reachable from the OSPF core if this leak is enabled.
