Description: inbound - netbios received from the interface are rebarodcasted, outbound - netbios are rebraodcasted to this interface, both - netbios are rebroadacsted both from and to this interface, disable - netbios is not rebraodcasted neither from nor to this interface. Currently only both and disable are supported

What is ipInterfaceNetbiosRebroadcast?

This read-write enumerated integer controls whether NetBIOS broadcasts received on this interface are rebroadcast outbound, broadcast inbound to this interface, both, or disabled entirely, though the description notes only both and disable are currently supported. An admin uses this to let NetBIOS name resolution traffic cross routed subnet boundaries in networks that still rely on legacy NetBIOS broadcast-based discovery. For example, setting this to both(3) on interfaces spanning a Windows file-sharing network lets NetBIOS browsing continue working across the routed boundary.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.31.1.2.1.12
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CROUTE-MIB::ipInterfaceNetbiosRebroadcast

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.31.1.2.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CROUTE-MIB::ipInterfaceNetbiosRebroadcast.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.31.1.2.1.12.1 i <value>
