Description: When proxy ARP is enabled, the router responds to ARP requests received on one link-layer interface for an IP-address that is reachable via another link-layer interface. The response provides the router's own MAC address.
What is drIpInterfaceProxyArp?
This setting enables or disables proxy ARP, where the router answers ARP requests on one link-layer interface for an IP address that's actually reachable through a different interface, replying with its own MAC address. Admins use this when hosts on a subnet without proper routing knowledge need to reach addresses on another segment as if they were local. For example, enabling proxy ARP on a LAN interface lets legacy hosts that lack a default gateway configuration still reach devices on a different subnet, because the router transparently answers on their behalf.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.31.6.1.1.8.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CROUTE-MIB::drIpInterfaceProxyArp.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.31.6.1.1.8.1 i <value>
