This read-only integer reports the rate at which bytes are sent and received on this network interface, including framing characters, combining both directions into one figure. An admin uses this as an overall throughput measure for the interface. For example, cpqOsNetworkTotalBytesPerSec approaching the NIC's rated link speed would indicate the interface is nearing saturation.
