cpqnTftpTrapEnableStatus

Module: CPQNTFTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQNTFTP-MIB::cpqnTftpTrapEnableStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.121.9.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: DURABLE: This object is used to enable TFTP file transfer traps. If the agent does not support these traps, then it return a Bad Value error when this object is set. The cpqnTftpCanSendTrap object indicates whether or not the agent supports traps.

What is cpqnTftpTrapEnableStatus?

This read-write value, DURABLE across reboots, enables TFTP file transfer traps, choosing among enabled, disabled, os-file-traps, or cfg-file-traps; if the agent doesn't support traps at all, setting this is rejected with a Bad Value error. An admin enables this to get proactive notification of TFTP transfer completion or failure instead of polling the transfer state and error objects. For example, setting this to cfg-file-traps(4) limits trap generation to configuration-file transfers specifically, ignoring firmware or other file-type transfers.
