What is cpqGenTrapID?
This read-only integer is the Generic Trap ID, the RFC1157-style generic-trap number used to classify incoming Compaq/HP enterprise SNMP traps. An admin's trap-management console uses this value to bucket an arriving trap into a broad category before looking at the more specific trap identifier. It works together with cpqSpecTrapID, since the generic number alone only narrows the trap to a general class of event.
