cpqExExternalStatusOkValues

Module: CPQEXTERNAL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQEXTERNAL-MIB::cpqExExternalStatusOkValues

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.17.2.2.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: This is a textual list of possible values which can be compared to the actual value retrieved from cpqExExternalStatusVariable during the last sampling period. This string value will be composed of a comma separated list of signed integer values with an optional range indicated by two integers separated by two periods.

Example: -1,2..4,11

The above would interpret the values -1, 2, 3, 4, and 11 as indicating an Ok condition.

What is cpqExExternalStatusOkValues?

This read-only string defines the comma-separated list of integer values or ranges, such as -1,2..4,11, that are considered ok when matched against the sampled external variable's value. An administrator sets up this range list when configuring external monitoring for a specific third-party OID whose numeric codes map to a healthy state. Configuring this to match a UPS vendor's normal-operation status codes ensures the agent correctly reports ok(2) instead of misclassifying a healthy reading as a failure.
