What is cpeSystemTrapEnable?
This read-write EnableAdmin object is the master switch controlling whether the CPE emits SNMP trap notifications at all. An admin disables it temporarily to silence a noisy device during maintenance, knowing no traps of any kind will arrive until it is set back to enable. For example, before swapping a line card that will cause link-down flaps, an operator sets this to disable so the NMS is not flooded with transient alarms.
