What is cpeReservedString?

This read-write OCTET STRING (up to 255 bytes) is described only as a reserved field with no defined semantics. An admin should treat writes to it as vendor- or deployment-specific rather than a documented operational control, since the MIB gives no guidance on what consuming it does. For example, a provisioning tool might stash an internal tracking token here for later retrieval, but doing so relies on undocumented, vendor-specific behavior.
