What is cpePingAddr?

This read-write DisplayString (4..255 characters) sets the destination, either an IP address or a domain name, for a CPE-initiated ping test. An admin sets this to a known-good target before running connectivity diagnostics from the customer's own modem. For example, support sets cpePingAddr to the ISP's default gateway to test basic upstream reachability from the CPE itself.
