This object holds the site-of-origin extended community attribute for a VPN customer instance, an 8-byte BGP attribute used to identify the originating site of a route and prevent routing loops between multi-homed sites. Administrators configure it when a customer has multiple sites connected to the same or different VRFs, so routes aren't re-advertised back to the site that originated them. For example, a dual-homed customer site might have this attribute set to a unique value so its own routes aren't accepted back in through its second connection.
