This RowStatus object controls the creation, modification, and deletion of entries in the VRF route target table, which defines the BGP extended community route targets used for VPN route import/export policy. An administrator adds a route target entry and sets this object to 'active' to make that import or export policy take effect for the VRF. For example, when connecting a new VRF into an existing VPN mesh, an engineer would create a route-target row and activate it via this object so the VRF starts exchanging routes with the rest of the VPN.
