Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csUnchanDs3ConfigSendCode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.2.10.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This variable indicates what type of code is being sent across the DS3 interface by the device. Setting this variable causes the interface to begin sending the code requested. NOTE: This is applicable only for DS3. The values mean:

sendNoCode sending looped or normal data

sendLineCode sending a request for a line loopback

sendResetCode sending a loopback deactivation request

What is csUnchanDs3ConfigSendCode?

csUnchanDs3ConfigSendCode is a read-write setting that tells the DS3 interface which maintenance code to transmit: normal or looped data (ds3SendNoCode), a request for a line loopback (ds3SendLineCode), or a loopback-reset request (ds3SendResetCode). It is an action-style control admins use to remotely request or clear a loopback on the far-end equipment for troubleshooting, without needing physical access to that device. For example, to verify a DS3 circuit end-to-end, an admin sets csUnchanDs3ConfigSendCode to ds3SendLineCode to request a far-end loopback, runs a test, then sets it to ds3SendResetCode to release that loopback afterward.
