Description: This object specifies the encapsulation used on this DS3/E3 port. If the encapsulation type is frameRelay(2), use the csFrameRelayTable to configure the Frame Relay specific parameters.
What is csUnchanDs3ConfigEncap?
csUnchanDs3ConfigEncap is a read-write setting selecting the Layer 2 encapsulation, none, PPP, Frame Relay, or Cisco HDLC, used on this DS3/E3 port. This must match the encapsulation configured on the far-end router or the link will never establish, and choosing frameRelay(2) means the separate csFrameRelayTable is used to configure Frame Relay-specific parameters. For example, if the far-end carrier's router is configured for PPP but this object is left at ciscoHdlc, the link stays down until an admin sets csUnchanDs3ConfigEncap to ppp to match.
