Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csPwVcPeerAddrType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.4.2.14.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: Denotes the address type of the peer node signaling address if PW signaling is used for the VC creation. It should be set to 'notApplicable' if PE/PW signaling is not used, i.e. csPwVcOwner is set to 'manual'.

What is csPwVcPeerAddrType?

This object identifies whether the peer node's PW signaling address is IPv4 or IPv6, and is set to 'notApplicable' when PW signaling isn't used at all, i.e., when csPwVcOwner is 'manual'. Administrators must set this correctly so the device knows which of the peer address objects, csPwVcPeerIpv4Addr or csPwVcPeerIpv6Addr, actually holds a meaningful value. For example, provisioning a pseudowire to a peer reachable only over IPv6 would require setting this object to 'ipV6' before the IPv6 peer address field can take effect.
