This object reports the Group ID used in the outbound Group ID field of the Virtual Circuit FEC Element when a signaling protocol such as LDP is used for VC setup, and reads as zero if group IDs aren't used. Administrators use group IDs to batch-manage or batch-withdraw related pseudowires signaled together. For instance, seeing a nonzero value here for a set of VCs sharing the same physical interface confirms they were signaled as part of the same group for coordinated management.
