Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the actual combined operational status of this VC. It is 'up' if both csPwVcInboundOperStatus and csPwVcOutboundOperStatus are in 'up' state. For all other values, if the VCs in both directions are of the same value it reflects that value, otherwise it is set to 'unknown', and the operator may consult the per direction OperStatus for fault isolation.

What is csPwVcOperStatus?

This object reports the combined operational status of the pseudowire, showing 'up' only when both the inbound and outbound directions (csPwVcInboundOperStatus and csPwVcOutboundOperStatus) are up, and 'unknown' if the two directions disagree, in which case the operator must check each direction individually. Administrators poll this as the primary at-a-glance health indicator for a pseudowire. For example, seeing this object report 'unknown' would prompt an engineer to check the separate inbound and outbound status objects to pinpoint which direction of the circuit has failed.
