csOspfSetTrap

Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csOspfSetTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.4.2.4.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: A four-octet string serving as a bit map for the trap events defined by the OSPF traps. This object is used to enable and disable specific OSPF traps where a 1 in the bit field represents enabled. The right-most bit (least significant) represents trap 0.

What is csOspfSetTrap?

This four-octet OCTET STRING is a bit map used to enable or disable individual OSPF trap types, where a 1 in a bit position enables that trap and the rightmost, least-significant bit represents trap 0. It gives an admin fine-grained control over which specific OSPF trap notifications, such as neighbor state change or configuration error traps, this router will actually send. An admin wanting to suppress noisy neighbor-state-change traps while keeping configuration-error traps enabled would clear just that one bit in this bitmask.
