Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csOspfRouterId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.4.2.4.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: RouterID

Access: read-create

Description: A 32-bit integer uniquely identifying the router in the Autonomous System.

By convention, to ensure uniqueness, this should default to the value of one of the router's IP interface addresses.

What is csOspfRouterId?

This is a 32-bit RouterID that uniquely identifies this router within its OSPF Autonomous System, conventionally defaulting to one of the router's own IP interface addresses. It is the identity OSPF neighbors use to recognize this device across the whole routed domain, so getting it wrong causes adjacency and LSA-origination confusion. An admin standing up OSPF on a new virtual router would explicitly set this to a stable loopback address rather than letting it default to a physical interface that might change.
