Description: The metric of using this type of service on this interface. The default value of the TOS 0 Metric is 10^8 / ifSpeed. Note: this is added for the support of TOS 0 Metric value, It will be deprecated later when TOS is supported and the csOspfIfMetricTable is being used.
What is csOspfIfMetric?
This Metric value is the cost of using this interface at the TOS 0 type of service, defaulting to 10 to the 8th power divided by ifSpeed, and is noted as a legacy object retained for TOS 0 support ahead of full csOspfIfMetricTable adoption. It directly influences path selection, since OSPF prefers the lowest total cost path across the domain. An admin wanting to steer traffic away from a particular link without disabling it would raise this metric well above its default.
