Description: This object is used to enable/disable the syslogd client on this Virtual Router. If this object is disabled, the syslogd client will not forward any ev_log messages to a syslogd server.
What is csOrionSyslogdStatus?
Toggles whether this Virtual Router's syslog client forwards internal event-log (ev_log) messages to an external syslog server. An admin enables it to centralize event logging from a given VR into an external log-management system. An admin sets csOrionSyslogdStatus to enable(1) on VR "vr-core" so its ev_log messages start flowing to the corporate syslog server.
