Description: The type of authentication used by PPP over this Logical Interface.
What is csOrionPppIfConfigAuth?
This read-write INTEGER selects which authentication method, none, PAP, CHAP-MD5, or one of the MS-CHAP server variants, this Logical Interface's PPP layer uses. An admin picks CHAP-MD5 or an MS-CHAP variant over PAP whenever possible since PAP sends credentials in the clear. For example, a link supporting Windows dial-up clients would be set to mschapv2Server(5) to support native Windows authentication securely.
