What is csOrionPingCtlTtl?
This value sets the Time-To-Live placed in the IP header of ping probes for this test; a value of 0 lets the IP layer use its own default TTL instead. An admin can lower the TTL deliberately to test reachability only up to a certain number of hops, similar in spirit to a traceroute probe. For example, setting csOrionPingCtlTtl to 5 limits this ping test's reach to five hops, useful for confirming an intermediate router responds before checking full end-to-end reachability.
