Description: The NAT translation entry global timeout. The global timeout setting will be used by protocols that don't have their own inactivity timeout configurable. Default value is 15 minutes. Minimum is 5 minutes. Maximum is 1 year.

What is csOrionNatGenTimeout?

This Integer32, ranging from 5 to 525600 minutes, sets the inactivity timeout after which NAT translation-table entries for entries whose protocol has no dedicated timeout of its own traffic are aged out, defaulting to 15 minutes per its description. An admin tunes this to balance address/port reuse against connection longevity: too short and long-idle sessions get dropped, too long and the translation table fills with stale entries. For example, an admin supporting long-poll entries whose protocol has no dedicated timeout of its own sessions might raise this value toward the 525600-minute (one year) maximum instead of leaving it at the 15-minute default.
