Description: This object controls the time interval in seconds after which an alive but empty tunnel (i.e. a tunnel without sessions) will be torn down. The value 0 indicates that the empty tunnel will continue to exist until either the peer stops responding or the the tunnel is torn down by peer or the administrator.

What is csOrionL2tpTunnelEmptyTunnelTimeout?

This read-only Integer32 gives the number of seconds an established but session-less L2TP tunnel is allowed to sit idle before this device tears it down, with 0 meaning an empty tunnel persists indefinitely until the peer stops responding or either side closes it. Monitoring it explains whether a tunnel with zero active sessions is expected to linger or self-terminate soon. For example, a value of 300 tells an admin that a tunnel which just lost its last subscriber session will vanish within five minutes if no new session arrives.
