Description: This object defines the interval (in seconds) in which HELLO (or keep-alive) packets are to be sent to the tunnel peer. Setting this to 0 disables sending of HELLO packets

What is csOrionL2tpConfigTunnelHelloInterval?

This read-write Integer32 (0-3600 seconds) sets how often HELLO keepalive packets are sent to the L2TP tunnel peer, with 0 disabling HELLO packets entirely. An admin sets a nonzero interval to detect a dead tunnel peer that stopped responding without properly tearing down the tunnel. For example, disabling HELLO packets by setting this to 0 might be done on a very stable, low-bandwidth link to avoid the periodic keepalive overhead, at the cost of slower detection of a silently failed peer.
