This INTEGER, desCbc or tripleDesCbc, is described as the Encryption algorithm employed by this IKE Policy Entry for protecting phase-1 negotiation traffic. An admin selects tripleDesCbc over the weaker single desCbc when stronger phase-1 confidentiality is required, though both ends of the tunnel must agree on the same choice to negotiate successfully.
