Description: This object is used to enable/disable the Cisco HDLC.
What is csOrionCiscoHdlcAdminStatus?
This read-write enable/disable object turns Cisco HDLC encapsulation on or off for this interface. An admin disables this when repurposing a serial interface to use a different encapsulation, such as Frame Relay, since HDLC and other framing methods are mutually exclusive on a given circuit. For example, converting a point-to-point serial link from Cisco HDLC to Frame Relay would require first disabling HDLC here before enabling the Frame Relay configuration on the same interface.
