What is csMplsMetricStyle?
This read-create enumerated value defines the IGP metric style used for MPLS traffic engineering as wide, narrow, or transition, which determines whether the IGP advertises TE metrics using the older narrow (6-bit-limited) format, the newer wide format supporting larger metric values, or a transition mode supporting both during migration. An administrator upgrading a network's IGP to support larger, more granular link metrics for traffic engineering would set csMplsMetricStyle to transition(3) during the migration period before finally moving all routers to wide(1).
